THE SPARK: Citi Investment Research & Analysis analyst Gregory Badishkanian said that strong sales momentum from last year appear to be carrying over into the first quarter.

A survey of Harley-Davidson dealerships showed that sales were up in January and February.

Badishkanian believes March sales will be key to determining overall performance for the quarter, but that investors should be encouraged by sales in the first two months. Motorcycle manufacturers represented by JAMA include Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki.

I don’t for a moment wish to belittle her hard work, but one phrase caught my attention. I do not advocate a return to that appalling state of affairs. I have made my stance on doctor’s hours clear in previous posts. This would be a disaster for young doctors. Possibly greater than the screwing of our pensions.

Do NOT let them do it! The application of the WTD to doctors has been the greatest advance in our quality of life in my time as a doctor.

To the list of these conditions I think can be added the operation of hymenoplasty, an operation to restore a ruptured hymen, in order to convey the illusion of virginity. My use of the word illusion is quite deliberate. You can restore the anatomy but virginity, once gone is gone forever. Before my stance is misinterpreted I have to say that I am entirely in sympathy with this procedure being done on the NHS.

I disagree totally with those who feel that this is a purely cosmetic procedure.

Bearing in mind that many of these women live in a situation where “honour killing” is a very real threat, even in the UK, I think there is a strong argument that this is in fact a life saving procedure. Honour killing is a strange term. I don’t see much honour in a group of armed men targeting and murdering a single defenceless woman. When bad things happen, I try to work out why. This isn't just when big things go wrong, but also during the small inconveniences of life. Why can't I find a parking spot when we're already late for school? Why did our car battery go flat? Why have I got a cold? What is God trying to teach me? As you can imagine, asking "why?" can get very exhausting. The following words jumped out at me when in tandem arrived in my inbox last Monday. They're from one of my favourite books, Respectable Sins, by one of my favourite authors, Jerry Bridges, introduced by Nicole :Bridges actually says that we don't have to work out the exact way that God might use a painful event, but we:. are to give God thanks that He will use the situation in some way to develop our Christian character. We don't need to speculate as to how He might use it, for His ways are often mysterious and beyond our understanding. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. There is a planned film starring Denzel Washington, which appears to be in development hell.

From early in the book:A reporter buddy once told me that in newspapers, when you leave out some important piece of information at the beginning of the story, they call it burying the lede. So I just want to make sure I don't bury the lede.

Django Unchained is a modern addition to a long-standing string of movies with the word "Django" in the title. But that's ok. Many of these films have nothing to do with each other.

This Quentin Tarantino movie has been called an homage.

I'm glad I saw it, both because I'm gradually working my way through the Django movies and because Tarantino is worth checking out.

I won't see it again.

For one thing, I like my Django films to be Spaghetti Westerns, and this is not anything I can classify. trailer: The New Yorker calls it a "crap masterpiece".

The NYT says it's "crazily entertaining, brazenly irresponsible and also ethically serious in a way that is entirely consistent with its playfulness.

Greetings,Well, it's finally our last weekend of summer. And there's is SO much to get done before Tuesday. I need groceries. I should take the car to the car wash. I need to finish putting up the shelves in the kitchen. I should re-plant the window-boxes. Or there's always that pile of papers on my desk at the office. But, as we continue our trip though the "Love Letters," I'm going to propose something a bit scandalous for this entry. Because, "L" is for. Hello folks, I am sorry this site has been a bit quiet of late but I have had much going on in my non scene life and my other career has been taking up far more of my time. I guess my biggest change though, in terms of the scene, is a new lifestyle where domestic discipline is the primary role. Obviously the pair of us 'play' as well, just for fun but I am punished for real misbehaviour within our lives. Now this could be anything from not obeying a simple request to something really quite serious. Naturally the punishment always matches the crime, and I have always felt this to be fair. You will receive in the next few weeks, the Lord willing, several thoughts on the unity and disunity of the churches. “And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. “They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. “So the word of God spread. “Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. Last Sunday's half-marathon beat me up a lot - the course ended with a fairly steep downhill that killed my hips. I normally take Mondays off anyway, so that was no different than the norm. Tuesday I was planning on an easy double, but after the first four miles I decided that cross-training was the smarter option. Good thing, because now the training is kicking into high gear. I had done this workout once before, while training for my last marathon. I remembered it being fairly easy then. As I learned today, it's a bit tougher when done in hilly Rock Creek Park in warmer weather. He did have one caution for me. Though I was feeling pretty confident after a few weeks of consistent albeit conservative training under my belt, he thought I was only at the halfway point. And to that point, since I had had several good weeks, he thought it made sense for me to take a week where I cut back on the pounding a bit instead of continuing to ramp up. Just cut back my overall mileage and the duration of the long run for a week or so while increasing the cross training as a way to give my still healing tissues an extra chance to recover. The photographer was amazing and was around for the whole day. If you would like to see a selection of the photos he took, here's the link. .
